General Questions

Are you vaccinated against COVID-19?

Yes. Being a serviced based business we take vaccinations very seriously.

Typically, if you have booked an engagement shoot, this will be the person who will be shooting your wedding. For large the majority of our weddings, Steven will be the lead on the day.

The short answer is no. On an average wedding, we will come home with 3,000-5,500 images.  A lot of these will be double ups, test shots, shots with bad expressions. Since our main style is candid, sometimes that can yield unflattering images of the guests in front of the lens. We spend hours sorting through all of the images ensuring you get the highest quality possible for your gallery.

We use our professional expertise to decide if an image is suited for your gallery. However, we will not delete photos that we think are deliverable. You will receive all of the images that meet our professional standard. On an average wedding, this is anywhere between 550-1,000 images.

Yes, we do! Every image you receive will be touched up, enhanced and will have our creative flare added to it. We have spent years perfecting our craft. However, we do not photoshop images, we may remove a few blemishes here and there but we will not drastically change an image such as removing a guest if they're standing in the wrong spot.

Who will be shooting my wedding?

Do you deliver every photograph that you take?

Do you edit every image that we receive?

We capture engagement shoots as well as weddings. We offer these separately as well as in some of our top packages. We love getting the chance to meet you before your wedding day, it gives us the perfect chance to connect and get to know each other!

Can I book in an engagement shoot?

We factor travel into our pricing, once we send you our price list and you chose a package, that is the final price. We have chosen to not add any extra surprises with our pricing.

How far will you travel for my wedding?

Yes!! We absolutely love destination weddings. It allows us to do both of the things we love, travelling and capturing our couples in love. Please contact us if you have a specific request for a destination wedding

Do you do destination weddings?

Our style of photography & videography is a candid, documentary approach to capturing weddings. This means that we take a step back and let the real moments unfold in front of us. However, this doesn't mean that we won't get into the action!

We will guide the wedding party in a direction that feels natural. We find that sometimes a little direction goes a long way. We'll do our absolute best to make you and your partner feel comfortable around us.

What is your style of photography & videography?

style Questions

Of course you can! We pride ourselves on being as transparent as possible. We believe this is the best way to service our clients. We encourage all of our potential clients to view full albums from all of the photographers that they enquire with. This will show the photographer & videographers skills throughout the whole wedding day.

wedding day questions

There are a ton of variables for this question but here is a simple answer based on previous experience. If you are after us to capture you and your partner getting ready, we need 1. to 1.5 hours at each location to ensure we get all of the shots that we need.

At an average wedding where we capture bride & groom prep, we suggest 8 hours to capture everything . The ideal amount of time is 10 hours to ensure all events and plenty of dancing can get captured. Please reach out to us so we can chat about this in further detail.

How many hours do you suggest for wedding day photos?

What happens if we go over the contracted timeframe?

We completely understand that all the events may not run on schedule on your day. We will never pack away our gear before the contracted time has ended. We will ask you at the end of your coverage if you would like to extend your time. If you chose to extend your coverage, we will charge the rates originally specified in the package & contract. Charged coverage will be rounded to the closest 30 minute timeframe.

Why do I have to pay for extra time?

When you book us in for your wedding day, we mark that day as yours in our calendar. This means that we will not make any other plans for that same date. If you chose to have us stay longer than originally planned we will then run into costs such as paying for the teams time. Additional coverage also means more photos & videos captured so this adds hours onto editing as well.

Most definitely, weddings are all about friends and family coming together to witness two families joining together in the name of love. Capturing family and friends together makes for a timeless piece of history that will last forever.

"The photo wrangler"
If you have a list of family photos you want taken, we have found it is best to give a copy of the list to an extroverted (loud) family member, groomsman and/or bridesmaid. We call this person 'the photo wrangler'. It definitely helps if they know who everyone is so they can round them up quickly!

Business & booking questions

Yes, we are fully insured with public liability, if your venue would like proof of this, please reach out!

We have an in depth section about this topic but this is the rough breakdown of how the process works.

First, you fill out our enquiry form with the details of your wedding, we will send you an email with all of the package information, once you have chosen which package you wanted to book in, we will send you over a basic questionnaire and a contract to secure your booking.

Lastly we require a non-refundable 50% booking fee to book your date in. The final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

Are you insured?

How does the booking process work?

The last thing you would want after your wedding is to have your photos and videos destroyed. To ensure this doesn't happen we have put multiple measures in place. On the wedding day, we use 2 cards at the same time to ensure a duplicate is always being made. When we backup our content, we back it up to a separate hard drive as well as uploading it to the cloud. This is a safety measure for us and it makes us feel much safer.

How can I be sure my images/videos won't be lost?

With the current climate of the wedding industry, when you enquire with us, we cannot reserve a date for more than 5 business days without paying a booking fee.

When you pay your booking fee and sign your contract your date is then booked in and secured

How can I reserve my date?

Unfortunately no. The booking fee is used to secure your date, this means that no other couples are able to book on the same day.

Do I get my deposit back if I cancel the wedding?

We have to look at each situation separately but usually the answer is no. If you need to move your date for reasons out of your control then yes we are able to facilitate that. If you are deciding to move your date but no external factors are effecting your original date then your booking fee will not be transferred.

If we have to change our wedding to a new date, can we use our booking fee for the new date?

How long until we receive our photos/video?

production & delivery questions

How will we receive our photos/videos?

Ultimately, we have the final choice on what music we decide fits best for your film. After years of creating films, we have developed a taste on what clients love and what works best with the flow of the day. We will send you a questionnaire before your wedding day, there is a section in there that allows you to give suggestions on the genre and list any songs that you would like us to use as inspiration. However, we will not be able to use any songs that you send through as they will likely have restrictions on them.

As this is a profession, we need to have the rights to the songs we use. We use royalty free platforms such as Artlist.io
